Recipes 36: Sweet and Sour Shrimps

Ingredients:
1/2 lb of medium sized shrimps
5 pieces of garlic
3 oz
flour
1 piece of egg
2 spoons of tomato sauce
1 lime
1/2 spoon of sugar
salt and pepper.


DIRECTIONS:
1. Clean the shrimps, remove the heads, keep the tails
2. Clean garlic, and slice thinly. Sprinkle over the shrimps.
3. Make a mix of the flour, egg, with enough water, salt, and pepper
4. Heat oil on a pan.
5.
One by one, put the shrimps into the pan by first dipping it in the mix above. Fry until golden.
6. Put on a plate, pour tomato sauce over them.

Tomato sauce: Heat tomato sauce, add sugar, and lime juice

Recipe 21: Asian Chicken Noodle Soup

asian chicken noodleINGREDIENTS:

3 1/2 cups Swanson Chicken Broth
1 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoons ground ginger
Generous dash ground black pepper
1 medium carrot, diagonally sliced

1 stalk celery, diagonally sliced

1/2 red pepper, cut into 2"-long strips

2 green onions, diagonally sliced

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 cup broken-up uncooked curly Asian noodles
1 cup shredded cooked chicken
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat broth, soy sauce, ginger, black pepper, carrot, celery, red pepper, green onions and garlic in 2-qt. saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.

2. Stir in noodles and chicken. Reduce heat to medium. Cook for 10 min. or until noodles are tender.

Recipe 15: Asparagus Soup

Ingredients :

2 pounds asparagus spears
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups water
2 cups leeks
4 green onions
1 red potato, chopped
1 teaspoon beef base or bouillon granules
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons dried basil
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons dried tarragon

DIRECTIONS:
1.Saute sliced asparagus spears, sliced leeks, sliced green onions, and chopped red potato in butter for 5 minutes.
2. Add water and beef base or bouillon granules. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3.Stir in cream, tarragon, basil, crushed garlic clove, and soy sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes longer

Recipe 14: Khao Phat Fried Rice

Ingredients :
3 tablespoon of corn oil
7 ounces of finely diced chicken
1 tablespoon of crushed garlic
2 eggs
25 ounces of already cooked rice
1 tomato sliced into 8 slices
1 chopped green onion
2 teaspoon of soya sauce
1 teaspoon of fish sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of ground white pepper

DIRECTIONS:
1. Pre-heat oil in a pan.

2. Stir in the chicken and garlic for one minute.

3. Add the onion and cook for another minute.

4. Incorporate the eggs and pre-cooked rice.

5. Stir well while adding the remaining ingredients.

6. Cook for another 2 minutes. Add some fine cucumber and green onion slices on top for decoration and serve.
